Day Centre

Alpha Court operates a day centre for people with a mental illness and/or addiction.  We have three "streams" of programs, one for people with mental illness and our tenants, one for people with an interest and willingness to make positive changes and choices regarding their substance  abuse issues, and one for First Nations people seeking traditional options.  We offer a variety of programming including recreation and education, social, leisure, arts and crafts as well as a hot lunch program.  If you have a special talent and/or would like t o help out in some way and have the time to commit to this vulnerable population, we encourage you to please forward a submission of interest and resume to the attention of Meghan King at alphacourt%23ca|mking

 

Student Placements

Alpha Court will consider student placements that are studying to work in the social service sector who have a specific interest in mental health and addictions.  Please contact Nicole Latour, Director of Programs at 683-8200 for further information.

 

Board of Directors

Alpha Court's Board of Directors are a group of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds.  If you have expertise in social work, mental health, finance, governance, human resources or housing, and want to contribute to our organization, please forward a letter expressing your interest, along with a resume, to the Board President, Sean Adams, c/o Alpha Court, 221 Wilson Street, Thunder Bay, Ontario, P7B 1M7.
